I am curious. You mention that the strategy of clearing and then fortifying a neighborhood would only push the insurgents to other places. How would they be more effective in venturing afar than the Iraqi Army which is notorious for not venturing so far from their own neighborhoods? It seems then that if the insurgents are capable of moving then they must be relying more heavily on people who do not share this reluctance. That would be foreign fighters, which would seem to raise a few interesting points.
Extremely dissappointing and deeply disturbing as you have once again, as always shed a very bright light on the darker side of american so called DEMOCRACY. This makes me wonder the statement Star Actor Thomas Jane of the Punisher made recently about his sequel where he said it's going to be darker, bloodier and more unfriendly than the first one".
Thanks for the great article.
